A Gesture of Goodwill Toward the Planet

I'm spending tomorrow night in the dark. Care to join me?

Saturday, March 29 from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, turn off your lights for Earth Hour.

I'm already in :-) In Vic today saw the Bay Centre has big signs up that they are doing it, and all Bay Stores are.

We are in too, we are really careful with our use of energy anyways but we love the idea of this. Joe and I have been recycling for 38 years - composting for almost 20 - vegetarians for over 15 - we've always been interested in being careful with resources. So, our lights are off (but then we go to bed around then anyways because we're always so tired).

Not to worry, I'll be in Charleston, and our lights will most assuredly be off from 8:00-9:00 ;).

Jeepers, I hope not - I need SOMETHING to knit by. Otherwise what the heck are we all supposed to do for an hour in the dark?

Hey, how many babies you reckon'll be born 40 weeks from today?

I was reading by candlelight downstairs, but upstairs there was a light on, otherwise a little boy wouldn't go to sleep.

Turned everything else off, however.

Good work!

I knitted by the light of my monitor while listening to Cast-On.

We did it, too. I'll blog about it.

Oh, I would have done that if I knew about it earlier. Oh well.
