You know what I hate? When you've got a friend who is making a huge, colossal, enormous, life-changing mistake. You put it off for two years, but eventually the day comes when you've got to talk to her about it, in love not judgment, but you know she is going to hate every second of it, and you will hate every second of it, and in all likelihood you'll have one less friend by the end of the conversation, but you've STILL GOT TO GO AND SAY IT.
Here is some of my chocolate covered ginger for you to look at while you think about how grateful you are that you are not me right now.

um, Shannon, do you have our address ... no reason, just asking.
as to your talk - sometimes doing what's right feels very wrong, but it's better than doing wrong and convincing yourself that it's right.
Ugh. Just, ugh.
Dave, well said.
I got a letter nearly twenty years ago, from a friend, telling me that I was making a huge mistake. She was absolutely right, and I lived to thank her for it...and, as it turned out, the calamity WAS averted, in my case. I phoned her today and thanked her for it.
Thinking of you Shan, it takes guts to tell it the way it is.
Tough call Shan, but you know you have to do it. Thinking of you. Susie xxx
ps don't you realise it's still Lent and I'm doing my 'vegan for Lent' thing which means that unless that chocolate is 100% dairy-free I couldn't eat it?!!!
I wish that I had listened to friends -- 45 years ago, and again 5 years later. I was stubborn, sure I was right, but was absolutely wrong.
Bless you, and good luck.
You are a good friend. Period.
