It's getting colder around here - very damp, too, which is seasonable. We do turn on the heat fairly early because we have old windows therefore a dampish house, but in the main, I try to put it off as long as possible. I just add layers.
Someone knocked on the door this morning and when I opened it, they did a double take. I realised that I've seen a lot of that lately, when people knock, so I took a picture of myself to objectively assess my "look". I have no idea what the problem is:
Am I dressed in clothes rather than pajamas? Check.
Am I wearing seasonably-appropriate colours and fabrics? Check.
Are my clothes clean? Check.
There's a faint whiff of demented, washed-up Highlander about it, but overall I think I'm doing pretty well.
(Maybe it's the hair?)

No sporran, no dirk ... therefore no whiff of Highlander.
You're definitely colder than we are, though!
Jealousy. Ugly, but true.
GUFFAW! Title of pic is priceless.
You won't believe this, but I swear to you that my word verification is "cheepo."
There's no 'bits' hanging out, I think you're doing marvelously well! And fairly colour-coordinated might I say.
And my word verification is hyperis. Hyper is a boy getting to go camping in Grandpa's borrowed trailer!
I think you look GREAT. All that photo does is give me this urge to hug you.
I've missed you :)
and who cares what doorknockers think. It is your home. They can use a phone.
personally, I think you look fine. That might, paradoxically, not be comforting.
I'm with Uncle Dave in thinking that you look fine as my home look is very similar in winter (except I'm much more classy as my legwarmers are striped)!
However, I do sometimes wonder if it's a look that is universally appreciated as Mike often says things such as "aren't you getting changed before you go to the shop?" if I venture outside the house.
He has even referred to it as my 'bag lady' look. How rude!
Mmmmm. Looks super cozy to me. I've been thinking about it for a day now, and still haven't come up with an idea for the double-takes . . . maybe anything other than jeans is dt-worthy?
I love that you've been posting more photos of yourself lately. It's so nice for me, the long-distance-bloggy0-friend, to be able to picture you better. :o)
Now, to get back to knitting that sweater of mine . . . and consider posting more photos of myself on my blog . . .
